The Campaign is currently supporting the production of a feature length documentary film that will serve as a catalyst in educating the world about the international adoption crisis. There is no circumstance more repugnant than that of a suffering child. While governments are mired in paperwork and policy, children are languishing, their lives diminished and at stake. Despite billions of dollars spent in foreign aid and thousands of assistance programs, abject poverty, disease, war and addiction have prevailed, resulting in over 145 million orphans worldwide. In the shadow of international politics, bureaucracy and corruption the orphan population continues to swell at an alarming rate. Across the globe, communities and governments have continued to fail to provide the most fundamental of human rights: a child’s right to a family.
Our film offers a view into this global, complex story of cultural identity, human rights, and international politics coupled with the fragility of a developing child and their lack of care, love and options. Travel with us to four continents, into orphanages and behind political curtains to see the reality of this silent, social tragedy along with the struggles and conflicts to find permanent families for parentless children.
Updates on filming will be available on this page, Facebook and Twitter.
