Intuitively, we all expected the unexpected would arrive many times over during the course of the tour. What was hoped for is actually happening. Individuals in each community have embraced our request to help us form a movement.
Today, the first of what will be many of the unexpected elements of the tour occurred. This morning, we went beyond connecting with individuals in a community; today we connected with a company. By the sheer force of word of mouth, we were invited into the lobby of AMN Healthcare to tell our story, promote the film, and ask for petition signatures. The response at this company was astounding, and based on the conversations in the lobby, countless people from AMN Healthcare joined us in the theater tonight to enjoy and learn from STUCK. My key learning today was that our message is going beyond just touching individuals in communities, but now touching organizations as well. It was a very inspiring experience to witness AMN Healthcare demonstrate that their energy goes beyond increasing revenues and customer satisfaction: they also are excelling in corporate social responsibility.
The energy from the AMN employee base today was fantastic, and hopefully will inspire other corporate entities to join us in similar STUCK nights. In the best case scenario, the AMN experience becomes a role model for others in the corporate sector to have their company become connected to our cause.
The drive away from San Diego was fulfilling and inspiring. The growing movement expanded its boundaries and created a new set of expectations. We are grateful to all of the individuals in San Diego who came out to enjoy the event tonight, and we are thankful to AMN Healthcare who demonstrated a unique corporate heartbeat and soul.
Next stop, Orange County! Ron already has his foot to the floor! We should be there in no time!
